Hmong Academy is pleased to announce the opening of our elementary school, grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. All of our students will be taught content areas: English, Math, Science and Social Studies, as well as enrichment through Art, Music and Technology. The staff brought on board for this year's elementary school is highly motivated, energetic and cannot wait to make Hmong Academy Elementary a common name in the state school system.

Lacey Schiele

Lacey Schiele graduated Augsburg College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and is currently working on her Master's Degree at the University of St. Thomas. Throughout her professional career, Ms. Schiele has taught in Brooklyn Center, MN, and has coached both basketball and soccer.

Matthew Riesgraf graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. He also minored in Special Education and History. Besides teaching fourth grade he would like to see a Running Club here at Hmong Academy.

Sarah Norenberg graduated from Bemiji State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, with additional licensure in 5-8 Mathematics, and 5-8 Communication Arts and Literature. Before coming to Hmong Academy, Mrs. Norenberg taught in Invergrove Heights, MN. She would love to see a Book Club start up here at Hmong Academy!

Sherry Peulen-Deick

Sherry Peulen-Deick graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts. She has also studied philosophy and education at Bethel University where she earned her teaching license for grades 1-6. She achieved her Engligh teaching license for grades 6-8 at Hamline University. She enjoys all forms of art, music, writing and drama. Mrs. Peulen-Deick likes traveling and has been to Europe, Russia, and Hong-Kong.
