The faculty in the Mathematics Department focuses much of their instruction on real-world, hands-on application. The Mathematics Standards are taught with great dedication and students are expected to master these concepts. Formal and informal assessments are done often to assure mastery and understanding.

David Augustson is a 1970 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics, 2002 graduate of St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Math Education, and a 2006 graduate from the University of St. Thomas with a Master of Arts in Learning Technology. He holds a Minnesota Teaching License for 7–12 Mathematics and is certified in Learning Technology.

Chue Vang graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics specializing in Education with a minor in Sociology.  He obtained his teaching licensure from University of Minnesota, College of Education.
