Mr. Yang has 15+ years of experience as a Parent Liaison/Student Outreach Specialist, and has served in a number of capacities in starting and directing charter schools. His prior experience includes owning several family businesses and serving as financial director for various non-profit organizations. Mr. Yang served as a founding member and as start-up director for Hmong Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during its planning and start-up phases, from 2002-2004, and is now is the President of HERC facility and Director of Operations. His prior experience includes serving families with special needs within an educational environment. He is a strong advocate for educational reform and has served as treasurer, secretary, and vice-chair for a number of other non-profit organizations.
