One of the highlights of Hmong Academy is our top notch technology.  The Technology Administration department provides the vision and support for the technology component of Hmong Academy.  This includes our state of the art computer labs, our school-wide wireless network, the laptop lab, all of the network infrastructure (such as switches, firewall, web filtering, and servers), overhead projectors, LCD projectors, web site, e-mail, swipe card system, phone system, bell system, special education software, student information system, and instructional software. In addition, the department partners with the academic staff to integrate technology into the Hmong Academy curriculum. The department also develops, maintains, and implements the technology plan which ensures that Hmong Academy has cutting edge technological systems in place for our students and staff.

Sonya Zuker-Klimek, 1997 graduate of University of Redlands, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Master of Arts in Management (2002), California Teaching Credential in Educational Technology and English as well as a Minnesota Teaching License for 5-12 Business. While she did graduate from the University of Redlands, she also took courses at the University of California at Santa Cruz and Cabrillo College.

Sonya Klimek provides day-to-day management of technology as well as student test data management. In addition to Ms. Klimek's technology responsibilities, she is the Junior/Senior Prom Advisor and Technology Committee Lead. In her free time, Ms. Klimek enjoys a high-level ballet class or a solid game of Ultimate Frisbee and is a member of the UCSC's 1994 Women's Ultimate Frisbee champion team.
