Students in Choir will sing a varied repertoire of songs in a group including music from a variety of cultures and historical times, understand the elements of music, read and write music using a system of notation, and improvise and compose music at their grade levels stated in the Minnesota Academic Standards in the Arts. Students in Concert Choir will perform often at Hmong College Prep Academy and throughout the community and the state, participating in outreach programs, music festivals and music competitions.
